pwSafe 4.6 broken for Mavericks?

OSX Software Update installed pwSafe 4.6 early this morning.
Now pwSafe crashes when I open my database file.
Release notes are not encouraging since they say "dont install on Mavericks".
Is there a way to downgrade? Or should I just plan on spending Thanksgiving upgrading to El Capitan....
Up til now pwSafe has been flawless.
